Emma (Royd) 40th

Emma our friend is Forty today
All at Ritrama shout hip hip hooray!!!

Part of the furniture Emma has become,
Spends most of her time here sat on her bum,

Allegedly she works in sales she says,
Just kidding the management so she gets paid,

She now only works three days of the week,
One hour a day when she’s at her peak.

Looking after Europe and Ireland she does do,
Some very good customers well at least one or two,

Inputting orders checking the lead times,
Getting on with the daily grind,

We all know Emma, she feels the cold,
When it comes to winter she’s not very bold,

She wears thermal vest’s scarf, hat and gloves,
Thick woolly socks and big knickers she loves,

Shut up the windows turn up the heat,
With all of above she still has cold feet,

A morning person you certainly are not,
Even in summer with days nice and hot,

Emma is partnered to the wonderful Ged
She uses him to keep her feet warm in bed,

He does all the housework and boy can he cook,
With Emma sat lazing just reading her book,

Emma now has daughter Gracie to keep her busy,
I hope this poor girl doesn’t turn out as dizzy,

Of her Mum Emma does boast,
Apparently she makes the best cheese on toast,

You are the girl we can not avoid,
And will always be known as our “Emma Royd”

Although above we’ve given you some stick,
We know you’re not daft we know you’re not thick,

This poem is only sent in jest,
As Emma our mate is one of the best,

So happy birthday to you from us all,
We hope you enjoy and have a ball

Nothing too risky nothing too naughty
You have to behave now you’ve reached the ripe age of FORTY…
