Brides poem (Good morning George)

Good Morning George
Wedding day words sent with love
Friday 14th June 2013

Good morning George on our special day
I have some words I’d like to say

Today I would like to shout out loud
As I become your bride I am so proud

It’s such an honour I really must say
To marry my childhood sweetheart today

Nineteen years ago we got together
We thought straight away it would last for ever

Friends at first but it soon moved on
As I realised you were the one

We had good fun and got on great
You were my lover and soul mate

Things progressed with you and me
And soon we started a family

Two beautiful children oh what joy
One a girl and one a boy

George and Elsie they’ve not turned out bad
And you to them are a wonderful Dad

You’ll do anything for them it’s clear to see
You’ll do anything for anyone including me

Family holidays together you like a lot
Somewhere by the sea preferably hot

It doesn’t really matter though, it can be wherever
As long as a family were all together

Away from the family you enjoy your sport
Millwall FC you do support

You enjoy a flutter on the horses, hey that’s not a sin
Remember it’s always nice to share when you win

You like to go out with friends and share a drink
Vodka and lemonade for you I think

Out for a meal that’s always nice
You love your food with lots of spice

A great partner you are and husband to be
But you do have your faults its clear to see.

I don’t want to have to tell you once more
Please don’t leave wet towels on the bathroom floor

You always get annoyed and often groan
When you hear me or somebody moan

You’re so laid back and full of fun
You like to get on with everyone

You work very hard and I really believe
All your goals you will achieve

So today it fills me with great pride
As I prepare to become your loving bride

The 14th June Two, O, One,Three
Will always be a special day to me

The day I marry the love of my life
The day we become husband and wife

I love you so much it makes me smile
Come on now let’s get down the aisle.
