John Deane – Poet and Balladeer

We have known John for many years and have read a number of his poems written for friends and family.  Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, wedding or passing your driving test, John will have a poem for you.  Our turn came when we married last year and finally became the proud recipients of our own poem, as a gift ……the Ballad of Anne & Tony.  He knew we were Beatle fans and as an added bonus, the poem can actually be sung to the tune of “The Ballad of John & Yoko” ……all six verses!

John’s true Liverpool wit shows through in his writing but he can be as funny or sentimental as the occasion allows.  He can often bring a tear to your eye, be it joy or sadness.  One thing is for sure, John will give you something to treasure, a lasting memory just for you.
