Mags FC end of season poem.

Story of the MAGS 2010 season

Please bear with me while I read this poem
About some friends I’m sure you’ll know ‘em

A story of our football team
What we’ve achieved and where we’ve been

Some great games we have had,
Mostly wins which makes me glad

In cup and league we’ve all worked hard
A goal or two and the odd yellow card

Jamie our goalie a great season he’s had
And between the posts he hasn’t done bad,

He’s consistently played well, he always been brave
And along the way made some good porno saves.

Deano of course is my number one,
He has to be he’s my big son,

Rumour has it, if he buys Gary a beer
He might even get a game next year

Grio as always has put it all in,
To help the Mags to another good win

He made some great tackles he’s made one or ten
But let’s not mention when he missed the pen.

Dooley a player we always need
For defensive quality and excellent speed

He plays with his head, he plays with his foot
Oh how I wish he’d get his haircut

Ryan the Captain who shouts very loud
Of your season you can be proud

You play with a passion, for the Mags you do care
But I really wish you wouldn’t F—kin swear

Stulley at centre he plays very well
The opposing attack he always gives hell

Another great defender Stulleys our man
But where did he get that silly tan

Tom another with the silly tan,
Once skinned by a ginger man,

He plays down the right with passion and guile
A great defender with a decent smile

He runs like a duck, Oh god watch him go,
Another great defender you guessed it Crommo,

He runs down the left, He wins every race,
And every attacker he seems to out pace

And so to Ando, I hear you all grown,
Oh not again he’s having a moan,

Although he may moan you sure can’t deny
To run the Midfield Ando’s the Guy

Alex we know he runs down the left
His touch and his skills are really quite deft,

He’ll run all day; he’ll run for a mile
But come on please Alex give us a smile

All the opposition he does rinse
It that man Sam he is our Prince

He plays with heart vigour and flair
But where did he get that girly hair

Danny Kelly he always works hard
But please try to avoid the odd yellow card,

What a great engine, what great pace
Opposing defenders he gets in their face

Sam – H in midfield he’s really come on,
And I don’t just say this because he’s the boss’s son

He works very hard and gets stuck right in.
Trying to help us to another vital win

Danny Scott always looks a bit pale,
Probably because he’s been out on the ale,

A great right foot this lad has got,
This is often proven with a long range shot

Our own Ronaldo, Jack is his name,
With a smile on his face gets on with the game,

He’s nippy and skilful and good on the ball
A good all round player but not very tall

Rolo with long legs he does run
Helps to make our game such fun

Pace and control he has got
Not always on target but likes a long shot

JK up front he’s nimble and quick,
A great little striker in modern language sick,

You give him the ball he gets in the hole,
The move usually ends up with him scoring a goal,

Matty up front he helps the team win,
Especially with that big cheeky grin,

He winds up defenders, puts them in a spin
He sends off his shot and we shout get in.

Malouda in disguise quiet man Curt
Works hard to earn his Mag’s football shirt

He gets the ball he sees the net
A goal comes next you can bet

Gary our Manager he carries the bags
He stands on the line and smokes a few fags,

He washes the kit and brings us a ball
A very happy man but still very small

Now to our coach. Longy his name,
Who encourages us all and helps with our game,

Use the right tactics play the game right
When we get it wrong he tells us were shite!!

Jan our treasurer, who chases your subs,
Which some of you seem to spend in the pubs?

She comes to all matches, she counts all the Cash
If we win the cup she’ll give us a flash!!!

A mention for me, a silly old get
Who turns up every week and put up the nets

I’ve enjoyed the season, thanks to this squad,
An I suppose I should mention a little help from God

One last mention for your number one fan,
Georgie boy he is that man,

Turns up every week to stand on the line
He shares a good joke and has a good time

So that’s the Mag’s squad all gathered above
A team we are proud of a team that we love,

A team with Great Spirit, we all work together
This season well remember for ever and ever

We’ve won the league
Let’s not burst our bubble

Go to Walton on Saturday
And win us the double.
